The research activity of the department aims at:
- Comprehending the function of rhe human body and the way physical activity improves physical performance by promoting health and wellness
- Studying the individual differences that cause psychomotor difficulties during a person's lifespan.
- Enforcing and maintaining physical activity to the general population in co-relation with the conservation, the preservation and the improvement of health and mental well being.
- Facilitating and maximizing physical performance.
- Making a connection between the information provided by the nervous system and the corresponding mechanical reaction of the skeleton system.
- Developing techniques for the evaluation, improvement or prevention of pathological motion.
- Improving physical education programmes in every level of formal or special education.
- Evaluating the athletic confition of athletes with disabilities.
